How it works
Only public X data is used. Not affiliated with X or Elon Musk.
Your Elon distance
An arrow from A to B means “A follows B”. Your distance is the number of follows on the shortest chain from Elon to you: if Elon follows you, it's 1. One account in between, 2. Two accounts, 3. Our map stops there, with one exception: if someone who follows you has already been looked up at 3, you're a 4. Otherwise no chain of 3 or fewer shows as 4+.
The small number next to it counts the distinct shortest chains. We show up to 4, ranked by the combined follower count of the accounts in between.
How we compute it
Every day we map who Elon follows, and every month who those accounts follow. When you look up a handle, we check that map, and if needed scan up to your newest 50,000 followers to find one who sits in it. Results are cached for a day.
Sharing
Every lookup appears in the list of the last 10 searches on the front page. The share post tags the accounts on your path by @handle, and pressing Share keeps your result public at your shareable link.
Path to anyone
The paid tool finds people who have a strong tie to both you and someone you want to meet, scores those ties from public signals (mutual follows, replies, mentions, quote posts) and drafts an intro request you send yourself. We never post or send messages for you.
